Job DetailsJob Location: Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center - Natick, MA 01760Salary Range: $35.00 - $45.00 HourlyJob Category: OtherOccupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Per Diem   Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center, a 118 bed skilled nursing facility located in Natick, MA, is looking for a per diem Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center has been deeply rooted in the MetroWest community for over 25 years with a reputation for providing high quality care. This facility is situated in a beautiful setting with modern updates to the property and state of the art short term rehab unit and therapy gym. Summary To provide direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of a Occupational Therapist.  Participates in the clinical team process.  Provides teaching and training to caregiver staff, patients and families.  Participates in clinical program development.   Essential Job Functions: Responsibilities and Standards Under a physicians order, provides direct treatment to patients as directed by, and according to the plan of care outlined by the supervising Occupational Therapist. Contributes to the interdisciplinary team meeting/process. Documents patient progress toward meeting established goals as stated in the treatment plan outlined by the supervising Occupational Therapist. Provides training to patients, caregivers and families according to the plan of care outlined by the supervising OT Completes documentation of direct treatment according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis. Maintains productivity expectations on an ongoing basis. Demonstrates consistent knowledge of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations. Promotes positive customer relations Demonstrates ability for continuous new learning to remain current in the field. Participates in quality improvement activities. Exhibits courtesy, compassion and respect to patients, families, caregivers, visitors, physician, administrators and other team member. Delivers services in compliance with the facilities ethical standards, policy and procedures, national professional standards, state practice acts where applicable, and current accepted state of the art practice. Other: Tasks and duties as assigned by the Rehabilitation Manger or Administrator as needed. QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, Experience Required Associates Degree from an AOTA accredited program and current professional licensure in Massachusetts. Possess strong oral and written communication skills, Organizational and analytical skills required. Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers. Demonstrated ability to utilize independent and effective clinical judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
