Position Summary

CREO is a PE-backed, industry-leading manufacturing company producing innovative, sustainable household products for indoor and outdoor living. The company generates $400M in annual revenue and has 1,000 employees across US, Mexico and Asia.   Products are primarily sold through big-box retailers across the United States.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for operating the day-to-day accounting functions for CREO Group, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records, including core accounting functions, month-end close, financial reporting, audit support, process improvements, financial analyses, calculations, and posting/validation duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining complete and accurate accounting records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.

Major Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  2. Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  3. Maintain General Ledger integrity and resolve discrepancies
  4. Assist with annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance
  5. Partner with FP&A and operational teams to analyze variances and trends
  6. Support implementation and improvement of accounting policies, processes, and internal controls
  7. Assist with special projects, including system implementations and process automation initiatives, as requested
  8. Assist with M&A, integrations, and due diligence activities, as applicable

Skills Required

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required)
  2. 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting preferred)
  3. Corporate Consolidation, M&A, and Private Equity experience preferred
  4. CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred
  5. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
  6. Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
  7. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  9. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Physical Demands
