POSITIONS SUPERVISED:      Reporting/Data Warehouse Team

TRAVEL REQUIRED:                15

WORK SCHEDULE:                  Day Shift 
 

POSITION SUMMARY 

The analytics engineer will design, build, and maintain our data warehouse models.  They would also transform raw data into reliable, well-documented datasets that power decision-making across the organization.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  

  • Design and develop DBT models following software engineering best practices. 

  • Build and maintain scalable data transformations in DBT.  

  • Design and implement dimensional data models using star and snowflake schemas. 

  • Build and maintain data transformations that convert operational data into user-friendly datasets. 

  • Integrate data sources (Forma, Procore, Destini, Docusign, Oracle Fusion, etc.). 

  • Create data quality tests and monitoring to ensure reliability. 

  • Create and maintain documentation for data models, business logic, and data history. 

  • Document data models and maintain clear lineage for stakeholders. 

  • Monitor and Optimize Snowflake for cost and performance. 

  • Continue to grow our data governance standards for analytics, access controls, etc. 

  • Mentor/Coach junior analysts on data modeling, SQL, and analytics best practices. 

  • Communicate with stakeholders to drive data-informed decisions. 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 3+ years’ experience with SQL and data modeling. 

  • Hands-on experience with DBT, SQL, Star schemas, ETL, Power BI. 

  • Proficiency with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Fivetran, or Redshift).  

  • Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and data warehouse concepts.  

  • Strong problem-solving skills 

  • Knowledge of role-based permissions, governance, and security best practices. 

  • Experience with version control and CI/CD practices. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT  

 Primarily an office environment.
