Expectations

As a Mechanical Assembler at Valmet you will work to assembly and disassemble mechanical roll equipment for the paper industry. Having a strong mechanical aptitude will ensure success for this position. This a is rotating shift position.

Primary duties will include:

  • Assembly / Disassembly of bearings, housings and water cooling apparatus to make repairs.

  • Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production equipment.

  • Record parts and materials used as well as prepare time and production records as required.

  • Read blueprints and manufacturers’ manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery.

  • Light Machining.

To succeed in this role you will need

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) along with strong mechanical aptitude.

Starting pay at $32.73 an hour!
