REPORTS TO: Distribution Manager or Return Manager 

POSITIONS SUPERVISED: None

TRAVEL REQUIRED: None

WORK SCHEDULE: Day Shift

 

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for gathering and packaging construction materials for transportation to project sites and placing them in their designated locations upon their return.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Collects construction materials, small machinery, and tools for orders from the company's equipment management software.
  • Appropriately packages construction materials, small machinery, and tools for transportation to project sites.
  • Operates forklifts and other machinery to load, unload, and move materials from shelving units and large trucks, as well as various power and hand tools while performing assigned duties.
  • Gathers returned construction materials, small machinery, and tools and returns them to their designated locations or to the repair shop.
  • Follows proper safety and company procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or any combination of education or professional experience that would meet the responsibilities listed above.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized with the ability to complete work with great accuracy.
  • Capable of communicating with tact and working with a variety of team members.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Experience and proficiency in operating a wide range of manual equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primarily a highly active warehouse environment, with frequent assignments outdoors.

ADA PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The following outlines how much on-the-job time is spent on specific physical activities. Under 1/3 of your time will be spent sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, tasting or smelling, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Up to 2/3 of your time will be spent climbing or balancing, talking or hearing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Over 2/3 of your time will be spent standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Warehouse environment that requires extensive outdoor work.
