TheĀ Technical Program Manager (TPM) will supportĀ efforts crossingĀ all divisions of FTI.Ā TPMĀ will focus onĀ initiatives intended to meet FTI’s business goals.Ā A successful technical program manager must develop and execute programs that support business strategy, relying on strong planning and strategic thinking skills.Ā Ā The TPM will be part of a tightly knit group of Engineers, Designers, QA, and other Product or Project managers, Operations, Procurement,Ā etc.Ā and willĀ be responsible forĀ the execution and delivery of new product/functionality launches. This position typically hasĀ indirect supervision of technical support staff, provides day-to-day work direction, andĀ participatesĀ inĀ formal performance evaluations.    

The Technical Program Manager will work closely with cross-functional Leadership Teams to ensure that programs have proper resource allocation, develop timelines, and manage project budgets, communicateĀ team’s progress and status; and execute projects to meet agreed-upon timelines, cost, and quality targets. The ideal candidate will have a provenĀ track recordĀ of successfully managing projectsĀ leveragingĀ project management industry standard tools and methodologies fromĀ initialĀ design through support of manufacturing and construction in dynamic manufacturing and construction environments. The ideal candidate must have experience in leading, motivating, and managing technically based cross-functional teams inĀ accomplishingĀ projects with notable impact(s) on companyĀ objectives.Ā 

MINIMUMĀ REQUIREMENTSĀ 

Education:Ā Bachelor’s inĀ BusinessĀ Administration,Ā Electrical EngineeringĀ or other related fieldsĀ requiredĀ with Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. MBA, Program Management Professional (PMP) andĀ additionalĀ technical certifications,Ā a plus.Ā Ā CertifiedĀ ProjectĀ ManagementĀ ProfessionalĀ (PMP).Ā Lean Six SigmaĀ certification or experience preferred. Change management certification or experience preferred.Ā 

Experience: Minimum of 20 years ofĀ demonstratedĀ Project Management experience. Experience with stage-gate Product Development Process (PDP), Product Lifecycle Management, and Solution Delivery Process (SDP) preferred.

  • RecentĀ experienceĀ managingĀ largeĀ projectsĀ withĀ highĀ complexity; multiple projects and programs.Ā 
  • ManagementĀ ofĀ largeĀ projectĀ teams consisting of a wide array of resource skill sets across multiple locations.Ā 
  • PreviousĀ experiencingĀ managing / controlling projectĀ budgetsĀ greater thanĀ $5M.Ā 
  • StrongĀ stakeholderĀ managementĀ skillsĀ withĀ experienceĀ interactingĀ withĀ ExecutiveĀ Leadership.Ā 
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills withĀ abilityĀ to develop executive levelĀ communications.Ā 

Ā Travel:Ā 15-20%Ā 

Ā WorkĀ Schedule:Ā ThisĀ positionĀ worksĀ betweenĀ theĀ hoursĀ ofĀ 7Ā AMĀ andĀ 5Ā PM,Ā Monday-Ā Friday.Ā However,Ā workĀ mayĀ beĀ performedĀ atĀ anyĀ timeĀ onĀ anyĀ dayĀ ofĀ theĀ weekĀ toĀ meetĀ businessĀ needs.Ā 

Work Location: This role can be hybrid or remote, but will require some travel for in-person collaboration, training, etc.

  • OverseesĀ all aspects of assigned programs throughout project lifecycles to ensure completion within the defined scope, quality,Ā timeĀ and cost constraints.Ā Ā 
  • EnsuresĀ accurateĀ allocationsĀ of resources throughout the program.Ā Ā 
  • Leads multi-disciplinary teams, composed of various levels of resources and/or vendors to create and deploy successful programs.Ā Ā 
  • WorksĀ withĀ ProjectĀ SponsorĀ andĀ SolutionĀ OwnerĀ toĀ ensureĀ scopeĀ isĀ explicitlyĀ defined,Ā documentedĀ andĀ integrityĀ maintained.Ā 
  • WorksĀ withĀ OperationsĀ andĀ EstimatingĀ staffĀ inĀ developmentĀ ofĀ designĀ /Ā engineeringĀ projectĀ budgetsĀ andĀ costĀ forĀ submittalĀ toĀ customers.Ā 
  • EstablishesĀ andĀ executesĀ aĀ projectĀ communicationĀ plan,Ā meetingĀ facilitation,Ā presentation,Ā andĀ delivery.Ā 
  • DemonstratesĀ successĀ inĀ teamĀ leadership,Ā stakeholderĀ management,Ā processĀ adherence,Ā ownership/Ā commitment,Ā learningĀ agilityĀ andĀ riskĀ managementĀ capabilities.
