JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 

POSITION:                 Pool Maintenance Worker

FLSA:                         Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO:           Spa Director

 

 

SUMMARY: To handle the day-to-day operations of the pool. Completing daily pool maintenance such as vacuuming the pool, scrubbing tiles and any other task assigned by the Manager. May occasional help with front desk responsibilities at the spa. This position be responsible for pool maintenance from Thursday-Monday.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and chemical balance of the pool water
  • Skim and remove debris from the surface of the pool
  • Vacuum and brush the pool walls and floor
  • Monitor and adjust pool equipment, such as pumps and filters
  • Test water quality regularly and make necessary adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
  • Provide excellent customer service to pool users
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to management
  • Help occasionally with front desk responsibilities
  • Complete any additional tasks and assignments assigned by the Spa Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of pool maintenance techniques and equipment
  • Ability to handle chemicals safely and accurately
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting heavy equipment and working in outdoor conditions

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION PREFERENCE(S):

  • CPO Certification preferred but also willing to train

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Physical demands on the incumbent consist of sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; using hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and lifting and carrying moderately heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
