Position Summary:

The Maintenance Worker ensures the Job Corps center’s facilities and grounds are safe, functional, and well-maintained, supporting a positive learning and living environment for students.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry)
  • Conduct inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs
  • Maintain grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and general upkeep
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and students
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and center safety standards

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in facility maintenance or related trade
  • Working knowledge of building systems and repair techniques
  • Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
