Job DetailsJob Location: Cobalt KS - Neodesha, KS 66757Job Title: Machine Operator  Department: Upholstery Sewing  Reports To: Department Supervisor  FLSA Status: Hourly    Summary:  Operate cutter to supply pre-cut vinyl, carpet, mat, plascore and fiberglass to multiple departments in the production process.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities   Read and interpret schedule for daily production requirements.   Load and unload material, operate cutter, change blades. Inspect material to assure that it is meeting the quality standards of Cobalt.  Perform standard housekeeping duties throughout the day.  Cross train in other areas of the department. All duties must be performed in accordance with Cobalt’s safety policies and procedure. Other duties may be assigned. QualificationsQualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be able to read and execute build instruction from work orders.   Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related work experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Language Skills:  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume, and distance.  Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two- step instructions.
