Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our engineering team for the summer. This internship offers hands-on experience working on real-world engineering projects, supporting product design, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering (or a related field) and is eager to apply classroom knowledge in a practical, fast-paced environment.

This role is located at our Global Headquarters in Neponset, IL and is anticipated to last 8–10 weeks. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems
  • Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models and engineering drawings
  • Support prototype builds, testing, and validation processes
  • Analyze data and prepare technical reports and documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and product development
  • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate project records and engineering documentation
Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled and completed two years toward a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals (mechanics, thermodynamics, materials, etc.)
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
