Job DetailsJob Location: New Castle, PA 16105Position Type: Full TimeSenior Service Technician Lightner Greene - New Castle, PA and other properties in PA Traveling Role   DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Travel to assigned properties to support with duties listed. Interact positively with residents and the public to enhance the community image and ensure superior resident retention. Perform general and emergency maintenance of apartments and common areas. Create and maintain a customer-centered service culture by demonstrating proactive hospitality with prospects, residents, family members and fellow community associates. Maintain an attractive community appearance and overall positive curb appeal. Perform turnover of apartments, including trash out, cleaning, painting, carpet shampooing and other repairs as necessary or directed. Ensure community and walkways are kept free of trash and cleared of safety hazards, especially ice and snow during the winter months. Identify actual and potential maintenance problems, including potential liability and workplace hazards, take appropriate actions to handle the problems. Document monthly visual inspections of property for defects, condition of roofs, gutters, downspouts, walkways, safety concerns, parking lot and apartments. On-call responsibility: must be available for emergency calls after hours and on weekends and holidays, or as assigned. Maintain professional appearance with designated maintenance uniform required by company policy. Utilize personal protective equipment to ensure safe work environment as required by company policy. Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of common area space as directed. Consistently maintain cleanliness of dumpster area. Clean and maintain exterior and interior corridors. Qualifications REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Thorough knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repair. Travel to properties when needed. Ability to read repair manuals. Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Ability to follow instructions. Excellent time management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED. Must be able to read and speak English and follow oral and written directions. Previous experience in maintenance preferred.   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must possess a valid driver’s license and insurance. Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into small spaces. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
