Meta is seeking an experienced Campus Construction Manager to join our Data Center Design, Engineering, & Construction (DEC) Team. The DEC Delivery organization manages construction execution for our Data Center fleet including new build (greenfield), retrofit (live environment changes), and onsite fiber installations (trunk to top of rack) through handoff of data halls to be provisioned with racks and servers. This Campus Construction Manager will lead construction execution at a site with record setting scale, innovative hyperscale infrastructure and ongoing expansion. Key responsibilities include overseeing assigned projects including Land Ready and Construction Ready Sites. The CCM will have a team of direct reports and provide leadership by influencing a matrixed team of Safety, QAQC, and Project Controls professionals to achieve predictable outcomes. This role also involves building high-quality internal and external partnerships. A consistent track record of delivering large scale projects on time and within budget is essential, prioritizing incorporating lessons learned, team health, and project success, while maintaining high financial stewardship, collaboration, and partnership within our matrixed DEC organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee New Build, land ready and Construction Ready sites, providing preconstruction support, managing retrofit and techmod projects, onboarding new hires, supporting programmatic initiatives as needed, and implementing lessons learned to drive continuous improvement and ensure project success
  • Manage and develop onsite team of direct report Construction Managers (both Full Time Employees and Contingent Workers) and matrixed reports specializing in Safety, Quality, Project Controls (Cost & Schedule)
  • Model and reinforce Meta's leadership principles and team collaboration standards, developing and empowering teams, and driving execution and collaboration
  • Assume accountability for DEC Delivery’s high expectations of partnership, teamwork and growth at the campus
  • Represent the DEC Delivery team in leadership meetings at the data center campus and partner effectively to become a high performing team
  • Provide clear, concise, and timely communications to the Area Director and broader organization when delivery of capacity will be impacted. Ensures the correct elevation of issues for awareness and escalation of issues for leadership action/involvement
  • Responsible for the financial health and wellness of the projects within the assigned Area. Monitoring the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to ensure the health of the team and project
  • Responsible for providing support and guidance to the project team, particularly during contract and change order negotiations, and helping them prepare for successful presentations at Contract Change Order Approval Meetings (CCAM). As needed, engaging directly in negotiations to ensure a favorable outcome and drive successful results
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving contracts and Change Orders within signing authority. Review and advise on contracts and change orders above signing authority
  • Responsible for coordinating efforts with other Campus Construction Managers to ensure consistency and alignment of priorities and sharing Lessons Learned and Best Practices
  • Responsible for ensuring the timely and appropriate resolution of issues on the sites
  • Responsible for the onboarding of new hires within the Area as well as supporting the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring decisions across all the Areas
  • Develops high impact relationships with internal and external cross functional stakeholders to understand current opportunities for process optimization and create strategy across the Areas
  • Request and provide fast feedback when appropriate in support of continuous improvement of projects, partners, and peers


Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years of professional experience in construction and project planning of complex, mission critical projects
  • Experience in large scale construction management (excess of $500M/yr. construction spend)
  • Experience in design and construction supply chain and processes
  • Experience communicating, presenting, and negotiating with cross-functional teams on complex construction projects
  • Experience with various contract delivery methodologies, legal considerations, IP, and commercial terms
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, equivalent degree or work experience
  • Experience in engineering, design, commissioning, and operations and ground up new build site development and construction as well as retrofit work in live environments
  • Experience managing shifting priorities, scope changes, and accelerated timelines on large-scale construction programs


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) delivery
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Experience with a variety of construction models (Design-Build, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), Lump Sum, Cost Plus, Fixed Fee, etc.)
  • Experience in data center engineering, design, commissioning, operations, telecommunications, network infrastructure, and ground-up new build site development and construction, as well as retrofit work in live environments
  • Experience in Capital Budget Management
  • Advanced degrees in engineering and/or business administration
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
