Job Summary
MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Continuous Improvement Engineer at our Chesterfield, Michigan facility. In this role, you will evaluate manufacturing and business processes, lead improvement initiatives, and use data, KPIs, and continuous improvement methods to strengthen safety, quality, throughput, and cost performance.

Pay: $80,000 - $90,000/year

What You'll Do as a Continuous Improvement Engineer
Evaluate internal processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement, using data and process insights to establish current-state baselines.
Define key performance indicators, measurable goals, objectives, and action plans that align improvement efforts with organizational priorities.
Lead the rollout of process changes and monitor results to ensure improvements support safety, quality, throughput, efficiency, and cost objectives.
Gather and incorporate stakeholder feedback to refine processes and sustain improvements after implementation.
Lead continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
Collaborate with process experts, department leaders, committees, sites, and functions to streamline and standardize shared processes and identify innovative improvement opportunities.
Promote continuous improvement by sharing best practices across teams and sites while ensuring initiatives support long-term business objectives.
Follow applicable safety, environmental, and quality procedures and maintain accurate records of improvement projects, plans, progress, and performance metrics.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or another relevant field.
2-5 years of relevant experience, with familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment.
Familiarity with software tools used for data analysis and process mapping.
Experience providing leadership, coaching, or mentoring to teams or groups.
Expert-level subject-matter knowledge relevant to the role.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and research needed information.
Ability to communicate and follow written and verbal directions, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role involves working in environments where elevated noise levels may be present.
The position requires the ability to push or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
