Job DetailsJob Location: New Bedford MA - New Bedford, MA 02740Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 Salary/year Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions. Oversees and facilitates training on new all medical equipment used by nurses, medical assistants and community health workers.  Manages annual equipment inspections along with overseeing all equipment maintenance and repairs. Collaborates and oversees the placement and training of externship students from local schools.  Works with human resources to develop an internal medical assistant (MA) training program and keep a consistent flow of qualified MA candidates available. Oversee biohazard bins and collaborates with Stericycle for staff training needs. Creates and manages the Health Center’s supply ordering system with optimal ordering points to ensure that supplies are appropriately stocked at all times. Works with clinical teams to review and seek approval for general medical supply orders.  Researches pricing and details of new products and presents proposals to the Value Analysis Committee (VAC) for review and approval. Ensures that supplies in each department are stored and stocked appropriately.  Collaborates with each department nurse manager to ensure that vaccines are stocked, appropriately identified, stored appropriately and that refrigeration units are maintained in accordance with DPH guidelines. May be required to perform medical assistant duties as needed. Other special projects assigned by administration based on managers scope of practice. QualificationsEducation:  High school diploma or equivalent is required.  Experience: Must possess a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as medical assistant. Experience supervising others is strongly preferred. Certification/Licensure: Certified Medical Assistant preferred. Software/Hardware: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and EPIC.  The ability to learn other software programs necessary for supply management is required. Life Support Certification is required.
