As a Test Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our electrical assemblies meet customer specifications and quality standards. You will inspect the work of electrical assemblers to verify that wiring and panel layouts match the provided drawings and meet customer requirements. Your role involves troubleshooting issues, generating accurate labels for traceability, and compiling job documentation. You will also assist in training and mentoring other Quality Control team members, demonstrating leadership in work performance, quality, and attitude.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Inspection and Verification: Follow established procedures to ensure finished products match customer requirements as defined by engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve defects or assembly errors using appropriate tools and methods.
  • Schematic Reading: Interpret and understand various schematics and drawings related to electrical assemblies.
  • Reporting: Document and report nonconforming materials using established quality procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work with Engineering to communicate customer and regulatory requirements to Electrical Assembly employees.
  • Standards Compliance: Maintain knowledge of relevant electrical standards such as NEMA, NEC, UL, and IEC.
  • Documentation: Generate and manage labeling for product identification and traceability, and compile job documentation before shipment.
  • Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods (minimum 8 hours) with scheduled breaks.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of four years of experience in electrical assembly or a related electrical field.
  • Proven experience with quality procedures, including ISO9001 standards.
  • Experience in troubleshooting electrical systems and understanding safety and high voltage procedures.
  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
