The Panel Technician is responsible for assembling, wiring, and troubleshooting electrical and pneumatic control panels based on customer specifications. This role involves interpreting blueprints, working on multiple projects simultaneously, and providing on-site support to ensure proper installation and operation. Strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and effective communication with customers and team members is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Panel Assembly & Fabrication:
- Build and assemble complete electrical and pneumatic control panels based on customer specifications and project requirements
- Interpret and follow detailed blueprints, wiring diagrams, and panel layout drawings
- Pull and route wires, mount components, and ensure clean, organized panel layouts
Technical Knowledge & Process Execution:
- Apply a strong understanding of electrical circuits, panel design, and component functions
- Use templates and replicate processes to ensure consistency and quality in larger-scale or repeat projects
- Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic systems to identify and resolve issues during assembly or installation
Project Management, Team/Customer Collaboration & Support:
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines
- Communicate and coordinate with internal teams and external customers to ensure project alignment and timely delivery
- Provide on-site customer support for panel installation, testing, and issue resolution
- Communicate professionally with customers to diagnose, correct, and document panel-related problems at their facilities
Safety/Hazard Recognition & Elimination:
- Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
- Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.
- Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company. Support goal of achieving zero accidents.
- Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.
- Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
- 3 to 5 years of related experience and/or training
Experience, Skill and Abilities
- Positive safety attitude and personal integrity -- both are non-negotiable
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Physical Requirements
- Frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear
- Occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms
- Be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision to distinguish wire colors
