Job Summary: Under the direction of the MRI Supervisor, the MRI technologist operates the MRI equipment and cares for patients.  All duties will be carried out in accordance with policies and procedures as established and approved by the Director of Imaging and the Radiology Manager.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited  School of  Radiologic  Science and registered or registry eligible by the ARRT. All non-MR registered new hires must attain MR registry with the ARRT within the first year of hire (365 days from date of hire.)  For example, if a non-MR registered, newly hired MRI tech starts on January 1, that staff member has to be MR registered by December 31 (365 days later.)  Failure to receive the registry will result in separation of employment
• Two (2) years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
• One (1) year as an MRI Technologist preferred
