The SCN East Regional Manager provides leadership and oversight for assigned Satellite Control Network (SCN) locations within the eastern region, ensuring consistent mission performance, staffing, operational readiness, and compliance with contract and customer requirements. The position provides direction to site leadership, monitors workforce and operational performance, and coordinates resolution of staffing, personnel, and mission-support issues across the region.

 

The Regional Manager serves as a primary interface between site leadership, program management, and government stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and standardized execution across assigned locations. Responsibilities include reviewing site performance, supporting staffing and recruiting efforts, identifying operational risks and critical gaps, and driving corrective actions to maintain reliable 24/7 mission support.


Responsibilities

  • Manages and coordinates operational strategies.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and prepares reports, records, and data required for plan activities.
  • Develops and implements policies, practices, procedures, and operating goals.
  • Approves and allocates resources based on business priorities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
  • Performs complex tasks typically following established processes.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.
  • Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies. 
  • Typically requires BA and 5-7 years.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible operations, technical, or program management experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Experience supporting 24/7 mission-critical operations, preferably within the Satellite Control Network (SCN), DoD space operations, satellite operations, or a comparable technical environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing geographically dispersed teams, site leadership, staffing, operational performance, and customer requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of workforce planning, personnel management, performance monitoring, risk identification, and corrective-action processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with government customers, program leadership, and site personnel.
  • Must possess an active security clearance and access requirements necessary to support the assigned mission.
