As the Maintenance Parts Specialist reporting to the Corporate Maintenance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of maintenance equipment procurement, with a focus on both managing inventory and ordering parts and equipment for our organization.

Compensation: $27.62 - $34.79 per hour

This position will be on-site at our New Brighton, MN location.

As a Maintenance Parts Specialist, you will:

  • Monitor spare parts and inventory levels, ensuring timely procurement. 
  • Use the CMMS software effectively to plan, schedule, and track maintenance activities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to procure resources, including equipment, parts, consumables, and materials.
  • Implement preventive maintenance tools to enhance equipment reliability and longevity.
  • Develop and implement innovative approaches to sourcing spare parts, materials, and maintenance resources, optimizing costs, lead times, and availability across different sites.
  • Travel to various sites for setting up spare parts and inventory, collaborating with on-site teams, and ensuring efficient maintenance planning.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with multiple teams and vendors across the country to coordinate maintenance activities and procurement efforts.
  • Issue purchase orders as needed for spare parts and materials, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Approve invoices related to maintenance activities and parts procurement, verifying accuracy and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Set up and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate terms, pricing, and agreements for efficient procurement.
  • Ensure that maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Analyze historical maintenance data to identify trends, improve maintenance strategies, and reduce equipment failures.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, reports, and equipment histories.
  • Facilitate effective cross-country, multiple site, communication between maintenance teams, supervisors, Plant Managers, Engineers, and other relevant departments. 

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in maintenance planning and coordination. Proficiency in using CMMS software and other relevant tools.
