Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable CNC Milling Machinist to join our team. You will set up and prove CNC programs for aerospace parts. During production you must monitor the machinery and perform quality checks to ensure they are running properly and the parts are machining according to specifications. Accuracy is crucial to our production and all candidates must have attention to detail and be extremely focused on their work.

 

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Set up and operate CNC Machines.
  • Works from drawings and operation sheets.
  • Perform deburring and inspection of machined parts using precision hand tools.
  • Able to work Independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Maintains a clean work environment and Shop Floor (Tools, Equipment, Machines, etc.)
  • Communicates to supervisor when tools need to be reordered.

CNC Machinist Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years operating CNC milling machines within an Aerospace machining, job shop environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient knowledge and application of precision measuring instrument, such as calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages and indicators; and the application of such instruments.
  • Knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerance and dimensions.
  • Knowledge of tool holders cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, end mills and other accessories used on various machines.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
