Position Description: Manufacturing & Process Engineer is responsible for determining methodology and designs behind producing parts, as well as creating blueprints and set up sheets for shop use.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Determines methodology in which parts will be produced.
  • Verifies process validity to meet stringent aerospace quality requirements and efficiency standards
  • Analyze production processes, schedules, methods and other data and then provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed for the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure that the company’s manufacturing processes are in compliance with customer requirements.
  • Review and calculate labor, material and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision making.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing/machining environment
    1. Knowledge of cutting tools/techniques
    2. Knowledge of different types of machines – 3, 4, 5-axis milling, turning, multi-function
    3. Knowledge of different metal types – Aluminum, Stainless, Titanium, High Nickel Alloys, etc.
    4. Knowledge of common/current metal removing processes/techniques
  • Experience with CAD/CAM such as Siemens NX, SolidWorks, & CGTech Vericut
  • Experience with Epicor ERP System is a Plus
  • General computer experience
    1. Microsoft Office products – Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
    2. Windows 10 experience
    3. Ability to navigate an understand file structure and naming convention in Windows Explorer environment
  • Able to communicate effectively and efficiently with all levels of the organization
  • Able to collaborate fluently in a team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Possible travel as required for training and multi-site support
