Job Overview

The Cosmetic Sales Representative is a new business hunter. This role owns the front end of the sales cycle: building a territory pipeline from scratch, prospecting into practices that have never bought from Pipeline Medical, opening the door, and closing the business. Success is measured by new accounts opened and first orders placed, not by managing an existing book. This is a hybrid, home office–based position. The representative prospects, runs virtual meetings, and manages the pipeline from a home office, and is out in territory for in-person visits and closing conversations when needed. The primary working location will be the representative's home office. Once a new account is opened and ordering, the representative owns it through a ramp period, confirming the account is reordering and fully onboarded, then transitions it to an Account Manager.

Duties

Territory & Pipeline Ownership

  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual quota for new accounts opened and new revenue generated.
  • Own a territory plan: segment the territory, build a named target list of practices not currently buying from Pipeline Medical, and prioritize by opportunity size and likelihood to close.
  • Self-source the majority of pipeline through high-volume outbound prospecting :cold calls, cold walk-ins, email sequences, social selling, referrals, and industry events. This role is expected to create its own opportunities, not wait for leads.
  • Qualify quickly and disqualify just as quickly, using a consistent qualification framework to protect selling time.

Sales Cycle & Closing

  • Run discovery conversations with owners, medical directors, and injectors to establish need, build urgency, and construct the business case.
  • Close the business: handle objections, negotiate pricing and terms within approved guardrails, and secure signed account setup and credentialing paperwork.
  • Drive the first order. An account is not won until product is ordered — walk the customer through account setup, ordering platform onboarding, and initial purchase.

Account Ramp & Hand-off

  • Own each new account through a ramp, confirm reorder behavior, then execute a documented hand-off to an Account Manager including account history, buying preferences, contacts, and open opportunities.
  • Own a territory plan: segment the territory, build a named target list of practices not currently buying from Pipeline Medical, and prioritize by opportunity size and likelihood to close.

Product Positioning & Education

  • Introduce cosmetic and aesthetic injectable products to prospective customers.
  • Position the full Pipeline Medical portfolio: medical supplies, surgical items, compounded pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, and pharmaceuticals during the initial sale period, to maximize the size and stickiness of the company

CRM, Marketing & Field Intelligence

  • Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene:log all prospecting activity same-day, keep opportunity stages and close dates current, and manage pipeline so forecasts are accurate.
  • Work inbound and marketing-generated leads within 24 hours.
  • Partner with marketing on campaigns, messaging, and event strategy, and feed field intelligence back on competitors, pricing, and objections.
  • Represent Pipeline Medical at trade shows, conferences, and regional industry events to generate new opportunities and build territory presence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive brand visibility and increase market share.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in a net-new business development or "hunting" role, with a documented record of quota attainment.
  • Comfort and proven effectiveness with high-volume cold outreach — cold calling, cold walk-ins, email sequencing, and social selling.
  • Knowledge of medical aesthetics and cosmetic injectables.
  • Proven experience selling into medical aesthetic practices.
  • Strong closing skills — objection handling, negotiation, and the ability to ask for and secure the first order.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with strangers and earn a first meeting with a decision maker who has no existing relationship with Pipeline Medical.
  • Negotiation capability and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Self-discipline and resilience to sustain daily prospecting activity from a home office without direct supervision, and to work through consistent rejection.
  • Time management and organizational skills to run a territory and manage multiple active deals.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales engagement tools.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Basic analytical capability to assess performance and identify opportunities.
