Job Summary:Ā 

ThisĀ key leadershipĀ position reports to the Plant Manager andĀ is responsible forĀ managing the daily functions of the Quality departmentĀ and providingĀ clearĀ directionĀ to driveĀ world classĀ customer service.Ā 

Ā 

Job Responsibilities:Ā 

Job responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:Ā 

  • Direct the entire Quality Assurance process, which includes planning, engineering, and auditing activities.Ā 

  • Implement theĀ objectivesĀ and culture for the QualityĀ Assurance TeamĀ 

  • CollaborateĀ with all plant teamsĀ to offer guidance,Ā expertise, and leadershipĀ Ā 

  • LeadĀ investigations and corrective actions intoĀ customer concerns and inquiriesĀ 

  • ManageĀ the Quality System for the facility and assure complianceĀ toĀ the ISOĀ 9001 requirementsĀ 

  • ProvideĀ product specificĀ expertiseĀ toĀ support the Sales,Ā MarketingĀ andĀ technicalĀ teamsĀ within the ITM business unitĀ 

  • Lead the QualityĀ and CostĀ Improvement ProjectsĀ 

  • Supervise, direct,Ā and lead the Quality AssuranceĀ team in the New Carlisle facilityĀ 

  • Provide communications to theĀ team on a regular basisĀ 

  • Provide leadership to the Quality Assurance team and plant-wide groupsĀ in order toĀ drive continuous improvement in the facilityĀ 

  • Install best practice testing techniques and methodsĀ toĀ drive effective quality measurement systemsĀ 

  • ExpandĀ employees’ knowledge through training and certificationĀ 

  • Drive cohesive working relationships among employees and peersĀ 

  • Manage the plant Quality System andĀ drive/leadĀ improvementĀ 

  • Facilitate monthlyĀ qualityĀ improvementĀ team activitiesĀ 

  • Manage internal auditing processĀ 

  • Maintain specifications for final products and raw materialsĀ 

  • AssistĀ in the development and maintenance ofĀ controlĀ plansĀ 

  • Manage ISO certification and maintenance of the systemĀ 

  • Intercompany SupportĀ 

  • Support plant trials, working closely with theĀ Process Engineering andĀ AlkegenĀ R&DĀ Ā teamsĀ 

  • Support the APQPĀ program to developĀ new productsĀ 

  • Establish and support standardization practices between facilitiesĀ 

  • Customer SupportĀ 

  • Complete required customer-driven auditsĀ 

  • Prepare PPAP’s as required by our customersĀ 

  • ProvideĀ data as requested/required by customersĀ 

  • Corrective ActionsĀ 

  • ManageĀ the Corrective Action Request SystemĀ 

  • Drive root-cause analysisĀ to achieve effective root-cause solutions (8D, fishbone,Ā and 5 Whys)Ā 

  • ParticipateĀ inĀ the management of the facility through the site Steering CommitteeĀ 

  • ActivelyĀ participateĀ in the plant safetyĀ programĀ 

  • Other duties as assignedĀ

  • Bachelor’sĀ Degree in Engineering or QualityĀ is preferred.Ā Ā

Experience:Ā 

  • 5+ years of related experience focused within Manufacturing Operations as a leader, particularly in continuous,Ā high-volume settingĀ 

Ā 

Skills and Abilities:Ā 

  • Proven leadership and management skillsĀ requiredĀ 

  • ProficiencyĀ inĀ SPC isĀ requiredĀ 

  • StrongĀ computerĀ skillsĀ requiredĀ (Excel,Ā Access, etc.)Ā 

  • Knowledge of ISOĀ 9001Ā isĀ requiredĀ 

  • IATF implementation isĀ preferredĀ 

  • Must be able to function as a member of a teamĀ Ā
