This role follows established procedures, work orders, and production schedules and performs routine inspections, measurements, and basic maintenance to ensure product quality and machine performance. Essential Functions The following duties represent the primary responsibilities of the role: Set up, program, and operate automated and manual woodworking machines, including saws, routers, edge banders, laminators, drilling, and boring equipment. Operate machinery according to work orders, prints, specifications, and verbal instructions. Load and unload raw materials and finished parts from machines. Adjust machine settings and perform minor repairs or corrections to maintain product quality. Produce parts that meet quantity, quality, functional, and cosmetic specifications within established tolerances. Measure finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, gauges, and micrometers. Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup, alignment, and safe operation. Perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks. Document production output, quality checks, and errors accurately on required paperwork or electronic systems. Identify production issues or equipment performance problems and notify appropriate support personnel. Work independently on routine issues and collaboratively with team members on more complex problems. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.   Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of experience in machine setup and/or operation, preferably in a woodworking or manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret product prints, specifications, and work orders. Ability to accurately read and use measuring tools. Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Understanding of workplace safety requirements and OSHA regulations. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Operation of woodworking production equipment Basic machine setup and adjustment Quality inspection and measurement techniques Attention to detail and consistency Problem-solving and troubleshooting Time management and production pacing Commitment to safety and quality standards Physical & Work Environment Requirements Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motion.
