Could you be the full-time Depot Logistics Operator in New Castle, Delaware we’re looking for?  

 

Your future role

Hourly pay rate: $23.50  

Take on a new challenge and apply your warehouse and logistics expertise in a dynamic rail industry environment. You’ll work alongside passionate, collaborative, and dedicated teammates who help keep critical transportation systems moving. 

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials that support our operations and customers. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Transportation, and Operations teams, maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting on-time deliveries. You’ll specifically take care of receiving, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping activities, while also supporting cycle counts, customer requests, and continuous improvement initiatives. 

  • Processing inbound receipts, goods movements, and outbound shipments accurately and within established timelines 

  • Maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts, location management, and physical inventory participation 

  • Supporting domestic and international shipping activities, including required documentation 

  • Operating material handling equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment 

  • Delivering high-quality service to internal and external customers through responsive and accurate material support

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • Two years of experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, or inventory operations 

  • Experience or understanding of receiving, inventory control, shipping, and material handling processes 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel 

  • Familiarity with SAP or another ERP system 

  • Current forklift certification or the ability to obtain and maintain certification 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Good mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities 

  • Understanding of domestic and international shipping requirements 

  • Hazardous Materials certification or experience packaging dangerous goods is a plus

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a warehouse environment for extended periods 

  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds 

  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment

  • Equipment and transportation-related noise 

  • Truck traffic and vehicle emissions
