Job DetailsJob Location: Jawonio Inc - NEW CITY, NY 10956Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 Salary/yearPosition Summary Jawonio is seeking a motivated, creative, and detail-oriented Communications and Marketing Specialist. This position will report directly to the Chief Communications and Development Officer. This role supports Jawonio program marketing, social media, visual photography/videography, CRM, and communications support of fundraising events. This is a hands-on role that serves as a key extension of brand reputation and management across multiple priorities that strengthens the agency's external communications, marketing and fundraising support. This position assists the CCDO across the organization to elevate impact and strengthen both digital and/or one-to-one individual or group(s) engagement.  ** Please note this is a full-time in-person position in New City, NY, which is about 30 minutes north of New York City. ** Essential Duties and Responsibilities Social Media Content Creation Support Photography for posts, video for reels of individuals, staff, program, and fundraising activities for Jawonio, Jawonio Foundation and Brick it Again store. Use of graphic tools as needed (Canva/Adobe Express) including AI tools in accordance with Jawonio policy. Keep monthly social media calendar including aligned specialty days. Draft social media posts to be approved by CCDO. Ensure consistency in tone, messaging, design, and brand identity.   Media Support Assist with updating and maintaining media lists.  Gather needed information/data for media advisories and press releases. Ideate and pitch ideas to CCDO for press/public relations opportunities   Digital Communications Assist with CRM marketing, program flyers and event activations   Specialty Event Support Assist CCDO on internal/external events including staff and program recognition events and Jawonio Foundation activities. Recruitment & Organizational Visibility Support CCDO on all HR recruitment communications needs   Special Initiatives Support – Brick it Again Lego Resale Store (10% of role) Support marketing priorities set by Store Manager including content creation for social media Provide photography and video support as needed. QualificationsQualifications Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Communications and Development 4–6 years of experience in social media, public relations and marketing or related role (nonprofit experience a plus) Strong writing, editing, and photography/videography skills. Experience with special events & promotions(fundraising experience a plus)   Familiarity with Canva, Adobe, email marketing (Constant Contact) and CRM platforms (Blackbaud)  Highly organized and able to support multiple communications and marketing priorities.  Comfortable working in support position while taking initiative. Passion for mission-driven nonprofit work.
