E.K. Services Inc. is hiring for the position of FLAGGER/TRAFFIC CONTROL

We are seeking seasonal flaggers for our construction crews this summer season. E.K. Services, Inc. is a woman owned, full-service utility, excavating and paving construction contractor offering commercial and residential services throughout central Pennsylvania and beyond.

JOB SUMMARY:

A traffic control flagger will control motorist and pedestrian traffic on the job sites. They assist with the daily traffic pattern set-up and removal. Responsible for knowing, understanding and appropriately applying PUB213 Traffic Control Guidelines.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure the convenient, safe and orderly movement of vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian traffic
Set-Up and Remove/Tear-down traffic control patterns as worksite requires
Maintain clean job site, including materials and tools
Complies with all PennDOT publication 213 guidelines
Complies with all company and OSHA mandated safety and health guidelines
Wears all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Assists as laborer during non-peak or downtime
Liaison with Sub-Contractors to ensure proper operations
Performs additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Stamina: Flaggers are on their feet for long periods, often in adverse conditions
Ability to work as a part of a crew
Available to work day or night shifts
Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid driver's license
Pre-employment Drug Screen Required

EXPERIENCE:

Flagger experience preferred. Will train motivated individual. Required to attend company training/certifications to keep compliance with company expectations.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Outside. Seldom exposed to fumes, odor, dryness, and poor ventilation; Occasionally exposed to dust, wetness, and vibrations; Frequently exposed to dirt, heat, cold, and noise.
