SUMMARY
Responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing the property’s gas, water, & sanitary lines and plumbing systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to recognize/remedy safety concerns and utilize all personal protective equipment as required
- Responsible for maintaining all gas, water and sewer lines.
- Maintain water heaters, steam boilers and water boilers.
- The ability to finish concrete, labor work such as putting in waterlines and ironwork.
- Knowledge of water quality and testing
- Knowledge of water supply, distribution systems, discharge systems and storm water systems
- Install, repair, and replace water closet fixtures and water system equipment – pumps, valves, hot water heaters and other
- Install, repair, and replace water, sanitary, & storm pipes/lines and gas lines
- Assist in new construction projects
- Maintain the property’s water distribution system and sanitary systems to code
- Proficient with plumbing codes and OSHA requirements
- Maintain a flexible work schedule including on call status and availability to communicate after work hours.
- Candidate is on call twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week for emergencies only. Documentation of completed work and work needing scheduled.
- Follow up on completed tasks to insure proper quality
- All other duties assigned by management
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the Facilities Manager then to the Director of Facilities.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Required to have and maintain a valid Plumber’s License.
- Required to be in Local 396 Plumber’s Pipefitter’s Union.
- Operate heavy equipment to include but not limited to loaders, trencher and tractors.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, construction equipment, and plumbing equipment
- General construction knowledge and safety
- Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
- The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- You will need to be available to work all shifts.
- The ability to work in a fast –paced environment.
- You must be at least 21 years old.
- You also must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Plumber’s License
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand/walk/ sit for extended periods. Must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment and seasonal elements.
