Shift: Monday through Friday Day shift. No holidays, weekends, or call. Tentative hours are 8am -3pm but can be flexible pending volumes.
What you will do:
1. Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values inÂ
behaviors, practices, and decisions.Â
2. Performs ultrasound examinations using proper patient positioning, appropriate technical factors, andÂ
operation of 2D, M‑mode, and Doppler equipment with appropriate transducers to accurately locate,Â
measure, and document anatomical structures across the lifespan.
3. Assists radiologists during ultrasound‑guided procedures by preparing equipment, supporting imageÂ
acquisition, and providing procedural assistance in accordance with departmental protocols andÂ
professional standards.
4. Performs clinical assessments and utilizes cognitive sonographic skills to identify and differentiateÂ
normal and pathological findings, adapting procedures based on clinical and diagnostic information andÂ
images.
5. Confirms examination orders and relevant clinical information through review of requisitions and chartsÂ
while evaluating patient preparation and scanning protocol.

Qualifications:
Successful completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is preferred, orÂ
completion of a two-year allied health program, or a bachelor’s degree.Â
. Active registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in one (1)
of the following credentials:
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS) Candidates who are not ARDMS‑registered at the time of hire must obtain ARDMS registration in oneÂ
of the above credentials within one (1) year of hire.
Completion of the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Mandatory Reporter trainingÂ
for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse within three (3) months of hire Basic Life Support (BLS) certified within six (6) weeks of hire
