POSITION SUMMARY

The Bilingual Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy Clinician provides model adherent intensive in-home clinical treatment to adolescents with substance abuse and delinquent behaviors and their families. The Bilingual MDFT Clinician will go through the MDFT certification process, obtain licensure clinical and supervision hours and obtain experience in the adolescent, parent and family clinical realm. 

 

*Please note: The Bilingual MDFT Clinician could also provide support through the MDFT-OUD model of care and would receive information and training on providing clinical support with the individuals and families in the program. The Multidimensional Family Therapy-Opioid Use Disorder (MDFT-OUD) program is an innovative and evidence-based, intensive in-home treatment program for adolescents and young adults, ages 12-21, presenting with opioid use disorder, complex behavioral health, or social and emotional challenges.

 

*Bilingual Required - Must be able to speak Spanish and English.

$5,000 Sign-on Bonus! Half paid upon hire and half paid at one year of service!

Salary-$62,000

Bilingual Stipend - $4,576 (annual, paid out throughout the year)

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work and Doctorate in Psychology. 
  • Credential(s) Required: Must be licensed or license eligible LPCA, LMFTA, LPC, LMFT or Psychologist. If you are a MSW, a LMSW (permit or license) or LCSW will be required to begin employment.
  • Valid Drivers License is required. Safely operates vehicle in the community, based on program needs.

 

LOCATION

Waterbury, New Haven and New Britain. Position is currently being offered as a hybrid schedule with remote and in-home sessions

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Completes clinical documentation

Provides triages for clinical emergencies and aligns with identified safety plan.

Works collaboratively with internal and external providers

Meets with families based on model expectations

Provides service in the office, remote and/or community settings outside of the office (e.g., homes, schools, hospitals, institutions, other community locations) as defined by the program. May transport clients to appointments or linkages as appropriate.

Work in a team to provide wrap around services to the family both clinical and case management

Participate in on-call rotation with teammates to support clients/families in times of crisis.
