What You'll Do

Workforce Management & Overtime Oversight

  • Monitor staffing patterns, overtime utilization, and scheduling practices across the agency. 
  • Partner with managers to address staffing concerns and implement corrective actions. 
  • Analyze workforce trends and recommend strategies to reduce avoidable overtime expenses. 
  • Develop and monitor overtime thresholds and staffing performance metrics. 

Staffing Operations & Coverage Coordination

  • Oversee floater schedules and workforce deployment to ensure staffing needs are met. 
  • Assist management with coverage for vacancies, leaves of absence, call-outs, and emergency staffing situations. 
  • Respond to urgent staffing challenges with professionalism and efficiency. 

Recruitment, Onboarding & Workforce Development

  • Support recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
  • Train employees and managers on scheduling practices, attendance expectations, and workforce systems.
  • Provide coaching and operational support to new managers on workforce management responsibilities.

Dayforce System Leadership

  • Serve as an internal expert on the Dayforce Scheduling Module. 
  • Monitor scheduling system utilization and identify process improvements. 
  • Train managers on scheduling best practices and workforce management tools.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Generate staffing, overtime, and workforce utilization reports for leadership. 
  • Monitor compliance with scheduling, staffing, and timekeeping requirements.
  • Identify potential operational, compliance, or workforce risks and recommend solutions. 

What We're Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in staffing coordination, scheduling, workforce management, or related operational leadership.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience required. 

Equivalent Experience Considered

  • High School Diploma or GED with five (5) years of directly related experience.

Required

  • Valid Connecticut Driver's License.
  • Ability to travel throughout Connecticut as needed.
