Job Summary:
The Warehouse Order Selector is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role involves picking, packing, and preparing orders in a warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately select products from designated locations using order sheets or electronic devices (in the freezer, cooler as well as out of freezer and cooler).
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or conveyance.
- Ensure orders are accurate and meet quality standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as Electric and Non Electric forklifts, pallet jacks and other machinery as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area: Clean boxes, sweep, break boxes as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding order discrepancies or issues.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good physical condition; ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work till picking is completed.
- This job operates in a warehouse setting and may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving machinery.
- The position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
