Job Title:                          Sanitation Technician

Hours Required:             Monday - Friday, 10 pm - 6:30 am, weekends & OT as required

 

Position Description:

  • Performs all tasks involved in cleaning equipment in a food manufacturing plant
  • Requirements include the use of corrosive chemicals daily to clean assigned production equipment, machines, floors, drain lines and the entire production area 
  • Follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure the sanitation of the production plant as efficiently and safely as possible.     

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Cleans floor, overhead piping, ceiling, under machines, drains, hand sanitizer station, walls, and light diffusers
  • Cleans, rinses, and sanitizes filler(s) before re-assembly for production
  • Checks the daily production schedule and complete appropriate setup for the filler and area
  • Responsible to use necessary pipe washes and assure time, temperature, and chemical concentration is correct
  • Properly stores all cleaning supplies at the end of the shift
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement Process
  • Follows all Quality policies & procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
  • Follows all Safety policies & procedures and participates in monthly observations

 

Requirements:

  • 6 months to 1-year general manufacturing experience
  • Good work attendance (no more than 3 occurrences)
  • Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English
