Job DetailsJob Location: New Holland, PA 17557Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayResident Services Coordinator Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM 80 hours bi-weekly Full benefits package   The Personal Care Assistant at Welsh Mountain Home is responsible for providing essential personal care services to residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position plays a crucial role in administering medication, assisting with daily activities, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for all residents including dining and housekeeping duties. Key Responsibilities: - Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. - Administer medications to residents in accordance with prescribed instructions and maintain accurate records of medication administration. - Assist with housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe living environment for residents. - Support dining room operations, including serving meals and assisting residents during meal times. - Participate in resident activities to promote engagement and social interaction. - Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including performing the Heimlich procedure when necessary. - Maintain certifications in First Aid, CPR, AED, and Medication Administration, including insulin training, to ensure the highest level of care for residents. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent or PA Nurses’ Aide Certification Must be First Aid, CPR and AED certified, able to perform the Heimlich procedure. Must complete and maintain Medication Administration Certification including insulin training. Must complete required 12 hours of annual training (plus any additional trainings assigned). Proficient in use of computer and related technology required for the role. Possesses good verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates a pleasant personality with flexibility and adaptability for frequent interruptions.
