Metko is a third-generation, family-owned Wisconsin manufacturer built on quality workmanship, dependable service, and the people who keep our operation running.

We are looking for a full-time Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our 3rd shift team in New Holstein. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, understanding how equipment works, and making a direct impact on production every day.

You will work with CNC manufacturing equipment, plant systems, and facility needs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic disciplines. Experienced technicians can put their knowledge to work across a varied operation, while developing technicians can continue building a broad maintenance skill set.

3rd Shift Schedule:

Regular Schedule: Sunday evening through Friday morning, 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

Initial training will temporarily take place on first shift before transitioning to the regular third-shift schedule.

Training Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on CNC production machinery, plant equipment, and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Respond to unexpected equipment issues during production and complete scheduled repairs during machine service.
  • Install, maintain, test, and adjust production machines and related plant equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment problems, identify root causes, and replace or repair parts as needed.
  • Read equipment manuals and work orders to complete maintenance and service tasks.
  • Perform basic machinist duties when needed.
  • Support facility maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
  • Use hand and power tools, electrical meters, and material-handling equipment safely and effectively.
  • Recognize faulty operation, defective materials, and unusual conditions, then communicate them to the appropriate team members.
  • Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, and maintain a clean, orderly work area.

What Will Help You Succeed:

  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude with an interest in understanding how equipment works.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems gained through work experience, hands-on projects, or formal education.
  • Industrial or facility maintenance experience, although applicants at different stages of their careers are welcome.
  • Strong troubleshooting and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Accuracy, consistency, and close attention to detail.
  • Initiative and a results-oriented approach to completing repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Clear communication with production employees, teammates, equipment manufacturers, and suppliers.
  • A dependable, team-oriented work style and a strong commitment to safe practices.
  • Integrity and sound judgment when working independently or responding to urgent equipment needs.

Previous industrial or facility maintenance experience is helpful, but Metko will also consider mechanically and electrically inclined applicants with relevant hands-on experience or education who are ready to continue developing their skills.
