Repair Technician – Medical Equipment / DME

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Pay: $18.50 - $19.50 per hour


Corner Home Medical (CHM) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Repair Technician to support the repair, maintenance, and functionality of both patient-owned and company-owned durable medical equipment. This role works closely with the Repair Department Lead and Purchasing & Warehouse Area Manager to ensure equipment is repaired efficiently, tracked accurately, and returned to patients in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, highly organized, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service and equipment reliability. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, reliable equipment for the patients and communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on company-owned rental equipment and internal-use equipment
  • Serve as a technical resource to Customer Service and staff for equipment troubleshooting
  • Maintain and monitor repair parts inventory
  • Support general facility maintenance as appropriate and permitted
  • Travel to patient homes or facilities for repair visits (approximately 10% of the time)
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and uphold CHM’s commitment to high-quality service
  • Participate in required training, including product-specific repair certifications
  • Assist with emergency response activities and on-call rotation as needed
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work with inventory systems
  • Self-motivated with a strong team-oriented mindset
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently

Physical Requirements

This role requires frequent:

  • Lifting (up to 60 lbs consistently throughout the shift)
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead
  • Climbing and squatting


Work Environment

  • Primarily warehouse-based
  • Regular exposure to equipment, machinery, and heavy materials
  • Use of tools such as inventory scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and packaging materials
  • Steel-toe shoes or composite footwear are required
