Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of laboratory tests independently or with minimal supervision
  • Operate and maintain state-of-the-art automated laboratory instruments
  • Assist in training students and trainees, and supervise technicians when needed
  • Manage inventory, prepare solutions, and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Learn new testing methodologies and handle special projects with confidence
  • Support patient care by performing blood draws and other essential duties
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and patient safety

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Certification or licensure per NYS DOH requirements
  • Strong technical, clinical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
