Power-Flo Technologies is seeking an assembler to join our New Hyde Park shop. We design and build custom switchboards and panelboards for a variety of customers.

Full Time, Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM.

Pay Range: $18 - $22/hour

Assembler Required Skills

Previous experience or training in a shop/industrial setting
Mechanically inclined
Familiar with taking measurements and working with a ruler
Familiar with assembling components
Able to follow instructions in a proper manner
Familiar with shop tools (hand tools, power tools, etc)
Valid and clean driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed

Assembler Daily Tasks

Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project
Sourcing the materials to be used in the project
Measuring and cutting materials to specifications
Assembly of switchboard enclosures and interior electrical components
Preparing metal surfaces for finishing
Working with design team to complete switchgear packages
Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints
Preparing completed packages for shipment

Assembler Physical Requirements

Ability to safely use and lift equipment weighing 50 lbs.
Ability to work standing up to 8 hours per day.
This position occasionally requires sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
Exposure to dust, loud noise, and temperature changes.

Candidates must have a valid and clean NY State driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed.
