Assembler

Full Time, Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM.

Pay Range: $18 - $22/hour

Assembler Required Skills

• Previous experience or training in a shop/industrial setting 
• Mechanically inclined
• Familiar with taking measurements and working with a ruler
• Familiar with assembling components
• Able to follow instructions in a proper manner
• Familiar with shop tools (hand tools, power tools, etc)
• Valid and clean driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed

Assembler Daily Tasks

• Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project
• Sourcing the materials to be used in the project
• Measuring and cutting materials to specifications
• Assembly of switchboard enclosures and interior electrical components
• Preparing metal surfaces for finishing
• Working with design team to complete switchgear packages
• Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints
• Preparing completed packages for shipment

Assembler Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely use and lift equipment weighing 50 lbs.
• Ability to work standing up to 8 hours per day.
• This position occasionally requires sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. 
• Exposure to dust, loud noise, and temperature changes.

Candidates must have a valid and clean NY State driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed.
