This role requires regular travel between Vassar Brothers Hospital (Poughkeepsie, NY), our Connecticut locations (Danbury Hospital and Norwalk Hospital), and all Northwell Health facilities situated north of New York City, including Phelps Hospital (Sleepy Hollow, NY) and Northern Westchester Hospital (Mount Kisco, NY), Northern Dutchess Hospital (Rhinebeck, NY), and Putnam Hospital (Carmel, NY).

 

Job Description

Ensures facility and simulation equipment are set-up for teaching sessions. Provides technical support for all simulation operations, including preparation, maintenance and repair of computerized manikins. Provides clerical support to the PSI department.

Job Responsibility

 

  • Provide technical support for all equipment involved in simulation center operation.
  • Troubleshoots both hardware and software systems, networking, and basic maintenance of simulation equipment.
  • Monitors simulation center inventory and report shortages.
  • Monitors simulation center equipment and report malfunctions.
  • Participates in technical training and attend conferences / seminars to stay current with simulation technology.
  • Collaborates in team evaluation of new equipment.
  • Identifies opportunities for technological improvements in healthcare education.
  • Participates in post simulation debriefing sessions.

Job Qualification

 

  • Associate's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
  • Prior EMT or technical experience, preferred.
