FlexStaff is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN), Wound Care certified to work on a temporary assignment for one of our clients, a Level II Trauma Center located in Brooklyn, NY.Â
Qualifications
- Three to five (3-5) years’ experience in healthcare.
- Active NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) issued by the WOCNCB; or Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) issued by the (WOCNCB); or Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) issued by the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM); or Wound Care Certified Certification (WCC) issued by the National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy (NAWCO).
- Experience with EPIC for the past six (6) months.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct wound, ostomy, and continence assessments; develop care plans and recommend treatmentsÂ
Review and document patient responses to wound and ostomy careÂ
Collaborate with the healthcare team and make referrals as neededÂ
Educate patients and families on prevention and management of complicationsÂ
Assess patients at risk for pressure injuries and implement preventive measuresÂ
Participate in quality improvement activitiesÂ
Provide culturally competent education to patients, families, and staffÂ
Maintain confidentiality and patient privacyÂ
Perform other assigned duties and float as needed
