FlexStaff is seeking a Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist for our Client, a Prosthetics and Orthotics Lab.

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. (30 minute break)

Requirements:
•    Bachelor's degree in prosthetics and orthotics or related field.
•    Certification by American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics (ABC) or the Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) required.
•    At least one year of additional clinical experience after training

In this role you will be responsible for providing prostheses (artificial limbs) to individuals with partial or complete limb loss, as well as orthoses (supportive devices) to those with musculoskeletal disabilities.

Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:
•    Assessing patients to evaluate their needs resulting from disease, traumatic injuries, or congenital conditions.
•    Assisting physicians in pre-surgical planning and developing prescriptions for prostheses or orthoses to prevent or minimize disability and restore mobility.
•    Taking measurements, designing, selecting materials, and fabricating the necessary appliances.
•    Conducting fittings, including both static and dynamic alignments.
•    Evaluating the effectiveness of the appliances for each patient’s needs and making necessary adjustments to ensure an appropriate fit, functionality, and quality of workmanship.
•    Maintaining patient records and educating patients on the proper use of prosthetic and orthopedic devices. Offering specialized guidance on device operation to physical therapists and family members.
•    Providing regular adjustments and monitoring patient progress.
•    Being available on call in accordance with company policy and the employment contract.
•    Performing other duties or special projects as assigned.
