ABOUT IBERIA COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH CENTER:
Iberia Comprehensive Community Health Center (ICCHC) and its satellite health centers are the leading providers of primary health care services in the communities we serve, including individuals who are both insured and uninsured. ICCHC provides multi-disciplinary, comprehensive health care services, including medical care. Our medical department provides a full array of medical care including, but not limited to women’s health exams, men’s health exams, diabetes care, high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma, chronic conditions, laboratory services, physical examinations, and referrals for specialty care.
ICCHC is currently seeking a full-time IT Assistant for its New Iberia, LA location.Â
GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
The Operations/Information Technology Assistant assists the IT Director and Director of Operations in maintaining clinic operations. This individual will also assist the IT Director with the repairs, wiring, daily upkeep, maintenance of all computers and networks throughout the organization, setting up/installation of new technological equipment and address hardware/software problems. The Operations/Information Technology Assistant will also perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION: Minimal of a High School Diploma or equivalent, and Associate degree plus at least one year of experience in an IT role, or five (5) or more years of IT progressive experience. Certifications in Microsoft or Cybersecurity a plus.
- TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Position requires knowledge and/or experience with Microsoft Networks, firewall configuration, network configuration, workstation setup and installation, print management, integrating cloud technology, network and endpoint security, TCP/IP protocols, Active Directory and Group Policy management. Experience in health care field and/or with Federally Qualified Health Centers a plus. Must have excellent computer proficiency (MS Office), be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service, be able to work independently and carry out the assignment to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Preferred: Experience with help desk ticketing systems and remote support tools
- SKILLS & ABILITIES: The Operations/Information Systems Assistant should also possess the following skills: effective reasoning and judgment skills, knowledge in software applications and computer language, effective communication skills, ability to multi-task.
