What You'll Be Doing
Job Summary: Generally responsible for performing construction coordination for small to moderate construction assignments. This work will be performed under general supervision.
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Audit contractor's safety program and performance
Participate in and guide injury management and incident investigation process
Coordinate and Network with Plant & Engineering Safety Personnel
Assure Job Cycle Checks are completed for each SOP at least annually
Assist Contract Administrator to define and ensure operations contract is aligned with the site contracting strategy
Coordinate Continuous Improvement Efforts Accept services or work completed as outlined in job scopes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Understand the scope of work for the contract
Understand and Communicate Area process Hazards, Needs, and Concerns
Assure Area Specific Job Scopes are maintained and keep up to date Interface and & provide guidance to Contractor Management
Interact with Area to ensure Contractor performance is meeting Area expectation
Assist Contract Administrator to assess overall contractor site performance vs. expectation
Assure contractor alignment with onsite procedures and practices
Audit and assure the Support to Operations Representative are fulfilling job responsibilities
Interface with vendors on contract related activities
Audit for Co-management issues
Monitor safety, quality, cost and schedule
Verify receipt of services for Contractor Staff
Help CA resolve claims and issues
Ensure compliance with regulatory and onsite safety requirements
Provide input to routine on job evaluations
Participate in package preparation process for any Request for Proposal (RFP)
Conduct pre-job contract meeting (RFP Process)
Sign and maintain time sheets, material tickets, documentation for ROS

Ideal Background
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field from an accredited university is preferred.
Licensing: No licensing is required for this position.
Experience: This position requires a minimum 10 years of relevant industrial construction coordination and administration experience. Electrical background is required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to work in process and field areas that may include physical capabilities such as climbing stairs, ladders, and construction areas
Demonstrated ability to work with many individuals
Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks, setting and communicating priorities, and understanding the business drivers
Effective oral and written communication skills, the ability to present information to all levels in the organization and address external organizations.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective task planning
Demonstrated ability to work with various computer programs including the Microsoft Suite and purchasing systems.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
Ability to perform work outdoors in hot or cold climates.
Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment such as a fire-retardant jumpsuit, safety glasses, ear plugs, and hard hat.
