Chemours is seeking a Storeroom Attendant to join our growing team. This position will be available in the New Johnsonville, TN location.

The Storeroom Attendant safely and accurately receives, inspects, stores, issues, delivers, and tracks maintenance, operations, and production materials across the manufacturing facility. This role supports vendors, maintenance, operations, procurement, accounts payable, and other site customers by maintaining inventory accuracy, SAP transaction discipline, QA/MIQA receiving requirements, strong housekeeping, and timely material availability. 

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Receive, verify, unload, and document incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and site receiving requirements.

  • Perform QA/MIQA receipt inspections, including checks for PSM and non-PSM critical materials; identify and escalate damaged, incomplete, or non-conforming shipments.

  • Complete accurate SAP transactions, including receipts, inventory movements, freight records, material issues, reservations, and related documentation.

  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, pickups, and shipouts by hand or with a forklift while following all material handling and traffic requirements.

  • Issue and deliver materials for maintenance, operations, work orders, shutdowns, and emergency needs.

  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, proper labeling, location control, and organized storage practices.

  • Safely receive, store, transport, and distribute hazardous materials in compliance with site EHS, environmental, labeling, segregation, and storage requirements.

  • Resolve material, delivery, invoice, service entry, and purchase order issues with Procurement, Accounts Payable, vendors, planners, and site customers.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, audit-ready storeroom using 5S and site housekeeping expectations.

  • Demonstrate safety leadership by following procedures, participating in audits and observations, reporting deficiencies, and using stop-work authority when needed.

  • Provide responsive customer service to internal customers utilizing good communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement efforts. 

  • Collaborate effectively with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Accounts Payable, EHS, vendors, delivery drivers, contractors, and other internal and external partners.

The following is required for this role: 

  • 1 plus years working with inventory.

  • High school diploma or GED and valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.

  • Experience with SAP or similar inventory/materials management systems.

  • Strong math skills, attention to detail, and ability to accurately interpret purchase orders, packing slips, inventory records, and receiving documents.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to frequently lift and move materials up to 50 pounds and work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment.

The following is preferred for this role: 

  • Storeroom, warehouse, inventory, maintenance, or manufacturing experience. 

  • Experience with SAP materials management transactions, cycle counting, QA receiving inspections. 

  • Experience with hazardous materials handling and industrial forklift/material handling equipment.
