In this role you will be responsible for
- Transport, inspect, and maintain equipment, including low‑voltage systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control‑system issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, upgrades, and equipment repairs.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including service reports, asset records, and project tracking.
- Operate shop equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, tools) safely and maintain a clean work environment.
- Provide technical support to field and shop teams and recommend equipment solutions.
- Cross‑train on various control platforms and adapt to new software, firmware, and equipment.
- Ensure all equipment meets safety and quality assurance standards.
- Support continuous improvement and collaborate with other departments as needed.
To be successful you must have
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and understand control systems and power flow.
- Experience with industrial equipment maintenance, calibration, and reliability practices.
- Solid documentation, reporting, and record‑keeping abilities.
- Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer tools and asset‑management systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in equipment service, controls, or industrial technical roles
- Experience in industrial environments preferred
- Post-secondary education in Electrical, Mechanical, Controls Technology, or related field preferred
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required
- Willingness to work flexible schedules based on project needs
- Ability to meet site access and safety requirements
