In this role you will be responsible for

  • Transport, inspect, and maintain equipment, including low‑voltage systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control‑system issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, upgrades, and equipment repairs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including service reports, asset records, and project tracking.
  • Operate shop equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, tools) safely and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Provide technical support to field and shop teams and recommend equipment solutions.
  • Cross‑train on various control platforms and adapt to new software, firmware, and equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment meets safety and quality assurance standards.
  • Support continuous improvement and collaborate with other departments as needed.

To be successful you must have

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and understand control systems and power flow.
  • Experience with industrial equipment maintenance, calibration, and reliability practices.
  • Solid documentation, reporting, and record‑keeping abilities.
  • Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency with basic computer tools and asset‑management systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in equipment service, controls, or industrial technical roles
  • Experience in industrial environments preferred
  • Post-secondary education in Electrical, Mechanical, Controls Technology, or related field preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules based on project needs
  • Ability to meet site access and safety requirements
