Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is urgently hiring for RN Med Surg for a travel/contract positions in New London, NH. 

Traveler Eligibility Requirements: To promote a diverse applicant pool, we seek travel nurses who reside **beyond a 50-mile radius** of the facility location. Qualified individuals who meet this criterion are encouraged to submit their applications.

Position Details:

Position Name: Travel RN Med Surg 

Location: New London, New Hampshire 

Specialty: Med Surg 

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Type: Full-time, Travel, Contract, Temporary

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Pay Rate: $2448 weekly Gross pay  based on a 36 hour work week (Includes Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)

Unit: Med Surg 

Shifts available: Nights

Shift timings: 12-hr Nights, 7.00 pm - 7.30 am

Schedule: 36 hours/week, 3 X 12-hr Shifts per week, EOW/EOH

Position Requirements:

  • Current experience as Registered Nurse in Med Surg units: 3_ years - Required
  • Epic EMR experience- Highly preferred
  • Prior Travel Nursing experience – Highly preferred
  • Traveler must have their own vehicle - Required 

Education, License, and Certification Requirements:

  • RN License for State of NH or Compact - Required
  • BLS Certifications from AHA - Required
  • ACLS Certifications from AHA - Required

Job Description:

  • Provides and documents nursing care assessments, nursing interventions, and patient/family education for patients in Med Surg Units 
  • Alerts appropriate medical team members to any observed change in patient presentation or unexpected assessment findings
  • Review the assigned patient plan of care and pertinent active orders in the patient's electronic medical record before providing care.
  • Performs and documents focused on nursing assessments of assigned patients, including but not limited to vital signs, assessment of pain, etc.,
  • Reports relevant assessment findings and suggestions to enhance patient care directly to members of the interdisciplinary team 
  • Complies with policies, procedures, and area-specific expectations related to maintaining a safe care environment. Initiates reporting or action when needed to address safety concerns
  • Complies with policies, procedures, and area-specific expectations related to medication safety; patient identification; specimen collection and specimen labeling activities; documentation of patient information and patient care activities; as well as dependability, attendance, and scheduling
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
