Overview

The successful candidate will report to the Program Supervisor for the Next Generation Nuclear Propulsion Plant (NGNPP) program office. This position is located in New London. The NGNPP program office supports a multi-discipline group of engineers, program and construction support personnel working in the United Kingdom that support BAE Systems personnel on the Dreadnought and SSN-AUKUS Submarine Programs from detailed design through build, test and commissioning.

 

The Project Control Tech Aide (PCTA) is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the US/UK Exchange Program. The individual in this role will report to the NGNPP Program Supervisor and Manager.

 

  • Support expatriation and repatriation of EB employees to and from the UK
  • Passport/Visa applications and renewals
  • Support EB HR/Tax/Payroll/Benefits and AIReS to ensure proper execution of US/UK Exchange Program personnel travel
  • Assist in preparing home leave paperwork for approval
  • Assist with supporting security with clearance information transfers
  • Support arranging international travel supporting the UK programs
  • Support with Legal International Travel Briefs and verification of compliance with ITAR and Company International Travel requirements
  • Support planning and execution of US and foreign national VIP visits
  • Assist in preparing IT/laptop/iPhone requests for Expats/ Business Travelers
  • Work with HR to ensure Foreign Work Assignment (FWA) package monetary disbursements are processed on time for EB personnel in the UK
  • Assist the extended work assignment (EWA) personnel for EB personnel in UK as require
  • Assist in maintaining procedures and directives governing personnel at UK sites and home support offices
  • Support/ execute travel arrangements for business travel supporting the UK Programs
  • Training support using Cornerstone
  • Procedure development
  • Concur Expense Report support and assistance
  • Provide editorial and formatting support on formal transmittals to be released to US Government
  • Support accurate security labeling of documents and other media prior to release to US Government
  • Assisting with NNPP Web, CITIS, and SWSNET information transfer and profile requests

Qualifications

Required:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a program office or similar environment
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be reliable, possess a strong team orientation, be customer focused, high energy, and have a desire to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment

Preferred:

 

  • Previous experience with international programs
  • Previous PCTA experience within a program office, contracts or finance
  • Experience working with Concur Travel systems
