Amentum is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Submarine Electronic (EW) AN/BLQ-10 Engineering Technician to join our Groton, CT team. This position provides onsite installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of ISIS.
Essential Responsibilities:
Install, monitor, and service equipment and systems at Company and client sites.
Perform or coordinate test and evaluation, checkout, and certification tasks of AN/BLQ-10 systems.
Perform validations/verifications of various electronic systems related to the operation of the BLQ-10 system.
Develop technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS), Technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements.
Implement Engineering Change Instructions (ECI)
Train others in the operation and performance of the system(s).
Direct on-site customer interface for equipment/system installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed.
Ensure compliance with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, system specifications and test procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Secret Clearance.
Must be granted an Interim Secret US Government Clearance.
High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) years of practical experience OR degree/formal training and six (6) years experience. (Degree/Formal Training is defined as: Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program.).
Experience investigating, troubleshooting, and designing solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
20 years experience supporting submarine and electronic warfare based operations
Formal Navy Electronics & Sensor Systems Training
VA Class SSN experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret US Government Clearance
Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:
This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.
Compensation Details:
US: $37.03 Hourly Minimum
