About the Role:

WagMore Animal Hospital is looking for a talented and passionate Dog Groomer to join our caring team in Saint Charles, MO! This is a fantastic opportunity to do what you love every day — making pets look and feel their best in a supportive, animal-first environment. If you have a gentle touch and a love for dogs, we want to meet you!

Responsibilities:

Perform full-service dog grooming including bathing, drying, brushing, and haircuts
Trim nails, clean ears, and provide other finishing grooming services
Assess each dog's coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming treatments
Safely handle dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized grooming area and equipment
Communicate with pet owners regarding grooming preferences and coat health
Coordinate with veterinary staff to flag any skin, coat, or health concerns observed during grooming

Requirements:

Prior professional dog grooming experience required
Proficiency in breed-specific cuts and grooming styles
Ability to safely restrain and handle anxious or reactive dogs
Strong knowledge of grooming tools, equipment, and grooming products
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Compassionate, patient, and calm demeanor around animals
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
